Paint Your Wagon

Paint Your Wagon is a 1969 American Western musical film directed by Joshua Logan, adapted by Paddy Chayefsky and Alan Jay Lerner from the 1951 Lerner and Loewe stage musical. It stars Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood, Jean Seberg, Ray Walston and Harve Presnell. The plot centers on a love triangle in mining camp in Gold Rush-era California. The film was released on October 15, 1969, in the United States by Paramount Pictures. It received mixed-to-negative reviews and was a commercial disappointment, though it earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Music, Score of a Musical Picture (Original or Adaptation). This was the last film directed by Logan until his death in 1988.
