The Black Windmill

The Black Windmill is a 1974 spy thriller film directed and produced by Don Siegel, and starring Michael Caine, Donald Pleasence, Delphine Seyrig, Clive Revill, John Vernon, Joss Ackland and Janet Suzman. Caine portrays a British intelligence officer whose son is kidnapped and held for ransom. The screenplay is based on Clive Egleton's 1973 novel Seven Days to a Killing. The film was a British and American co-production, distributed by Universal Pictures (internationally from Cinema International Corporation). It premiered in New York City on May 17, 1974, and received mixed reviews from critics.
