Toradora!
Japanese light novel series

Toradora! (Japanese: とらドラ!) is a Japanese light novel series written by Yuyuko Takemiya and illustrated by Yasu. ASCII Media Works released ten volumes between March 2006 and March 2009 under their Dengeki Bunko imprint. Three volumes of a spin-off light novel series titled Toradora Spin-off! were later published. The main series follows Ryūji Takasu and Taiga Aisaka, two social outcasts who gradually fall in love while trying to help each other get with their crushes. The title Toradora! is derived from the names of the two main characters.
A manga adaptation by Zekkyō was serialized in MediaWorks' shōnen manga magazine Dengeki Comic Gao! from September 2007 to March 2008.
This brief starts where responsible research should: with the source description of “Toradora!” as japanese light novel series. Everything that follows is an evidence route, not borrowed authority.
Why this record matters
The subject matters to the arts & letters register because the source frames it as japanese light novel series. Its deeper value depends on whether names, dates, institutions and citations support that framing.
Attribution, date and provenance are strongest when supported by the original work, a catalogue record and documented transmission. The source revision retrieved here is dated Sep 7, 2026. The linked authority identifier is Q483150. VIAF identifies the subject as 3150154076030111860002. 2 of 3 selected statements include explicit references; 1 carry qualifiers and 0 use preferred rank. The first chronological checks are 2006, 2009, 2007 and 2008.
Later fame can flatten the distinction between original context, subsequent adaptation and institutional collecting history. The lead is largely declarative, so disagreement and counter-evidence require a deliberate search beyond the opening account. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.
