Geography
Untereggen has an area, as of 2006, of 7.1 km2 (2.7 sq mi). Of this area, 50.2% is used for agricultural purposes, while 42.9% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 5.5% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (1.4%) is non-productive (rivers or lakes).
