Risør (pronounced [rɪːˌsøːr] ) is a municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located on the Skagerrak coast in the traditional region of Sørlandet. The administrative centre of Risør municipality is the town of Risør. There are many villages in Risør such as Akland, Bossvika, Fie, Hødnebø, Krabbesund, Moen, Nipe, Røysland, Sandnes, Sivik, Søndeled, and Stamsøy.
The 183.66-square-kilometre (70.91 sq mi) municipality is the 309th largest by area out of the 357 municipalities in Norway. Risør Municipality is the 149th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 6,683.
