Paremhat
seventh month of the Coptic calendar

Paremhat (Coptic: Ⲡⲁⲣⲉⲙϩⲁⲧ), also known as Phamenoth (Ancient Greek: Φαμενώθ, Phamenṓth) and Baramhat (Arabic: برمهات), is the seventh month of the ancient Egyptian and Coptic calendars. It lies between March 10 and April 8 of the Gregorian calendar.
Paremhat is also the third month of the Season of the Emergence, when the Nile floods recede and the crops start to grow throughout the land of Egypt.
Name
The Coptic name Paremhat comes from the ancient Egyptian name "Month of Amenhotep I" (Ancient Egyptian: pꜣ n jmn-htp.w), who was deified at the end of his reign c. 1500 BC. The month had formerly been known as Rekeh-Nedjes.
Begin with the source’s own compact description: “Paremhat” is seventh month of the Coptic calendar. The dossier treats that line as a proposition to test through Paremhat, seventh and month, not as a finished interpretation.
Why this record matters
The phrase “seventh month of the Coptic calendar” supplies a clear boundary for inquiry. It also exposes the unanswered questions: who defined that boundary, when it became stable and which sources sit outside it.
Vocabulary and entity names are the principal evidence signals here, because they determine the precision of every later search. The source revision retrieved here is dated May 15, 2026. The linked authority identifier is Q546893. None of the 0 selected statements returned an explicit reference. The first chronological checks are 1500.
The absence of detail may reflect summary conventions rather than a lack of surviving documentation. The source lead contains qualifying language; that uncertainty should survive quotation, summary and reuse. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.
