Why this record matters
A short description can identify a subject without explaining its stakes. For “Otoabasi Akpan”, the useful work is to connect “nigerian historian and academic administrator” to the records capable of establishing context and consequence.
Chronology provides the most reliable spine for this subject; interpretation should follow only after identities and dates are secure. The source revision retrieved here is dated Aug 16, 2026. The linked authority identifier is Q136648254. VIAF identifies the subject as 63403997. The Library of Congress control number is n2004094507. None of the 3 selected statements returned an explicit reference. The first chronological checks are 2026, 1964, 1974 and 1979.
Later biographies can compress uncertainty and repeat inherited reputations, so apparently settled claims may still require comparison. The lead is largely declarative, so disagreement and counter-evidence require a deliberate search beyond the opening account. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.
