Source-derived summary

Osiedle Bagnówka is a neighbourhood in the city of Białystok in Poland. It is located on the eastern outskirts of the city. It borders with Wygoda, Jaroszówka and the village of Sowlany. The historical part of the district stretches along Jana Krzysztofa Kluka Street. To the east of it there is housing estate of single-family houses in Puchalskiego Street. Dolistówka river runs in the neighbourhood.

Overview

The district has a layout in which the sides of rectangular ownership plots are narrow from the side of the road, but very elongated in the direction perpendicular to the street. From the front there are residential buildings, while farm buildings are located deep inside the property. It can be assumed that with the passage of time, new houses were erected in place of old houses, so the shape of the village itself has not changed much since the end of the 19th century. Relics of the former village along Kluka Street on the section between Mościckiego and Kosińskiego streets.

Editorial summary

Begin with the source’s own compact description: “Osiedle Bagnówka, Białystok” is osiedle (city district) in Białystok, Poland. The dossier treats that line as a proposition to test through Osiedle, Bagnówka and Białystok, not as a finished interpretation.

Editorial reviewMost useful as a place-based finding aid connecting the present description to earlier jurisdictions, maps and built evidence. The current 166-word lead offers orientation but no explicit four-digit date, so chronology should not be assumed. The linked authority record independently contributes the date 2021-02-16. Editorial analysis

Why this record matters

The phrase “osiedle (city district) in Białystok, Poland” supplies a clear boundary for inquiry. It also exposes the unanswered questions: who defined that boundary, when it became stable and which sources sit outside it.

Evidence profile

Maps, plans, fabric surveys and administrative records can establish how the site’s name, extent and function changed over time. The source revision retrieved here is dated Sep 27, 2026. The linked authority identifier is Q105542004. Authority coordinates are 53.150, 23.227. 1 of 2 selected statements include explicit references; 0 carry qualifiers and 0 use preferred rank.

Critical limits

Modern boundaries and familiar names can conceal earlier jurisdictions or structures that do not align with the present site. The lead is largely declarative, so disagreement and counter-evidence require a deliberate search beyond the opening account. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.

How to read it

Treat names, boundaries and functions as historically changeable. Maps, plans, inventories and administrative records can clarify what the place meant at different dates.
