Nathan Peterman
American football player (born 1994)

Nathan Michael Peterman (born May 4, 1994) is an American former professional football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons. He played college football for the Pittsburgh Panthers following a stint with the Tennessee Volunteers. Peterman was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft.
Peterman struggled in the NFL, throwing five interceptions during the first half of his starting debut and posting a 0.0 passer rating in the 2018 season opener. His 11 interceptions between 2017 and 2018 are the most for a quarterback with less than 100 passing attempts. Released by the Bills during the 2018 season, Peterman spent his last six seasons as a member of the Oakland / Las Vegas Raiders, Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, and Atlanta Falcons. After retiring as a player, Peterman became a sports agent.

Why this record matters
The phrase “american football player (born 1994)” supplies a clear boundary for inquiry. It also exposes the unanswered questions: who defined that boundary, when it became stable and which sources sit outside it.
The entry’s evidential value lies in the named roles, institutions and publications that can be tested against primary documentation. The source revision retrieved here is dated Sep 23, 2026. The linked authority identifier is Q27899179. 1 of 1 selected statements include explicit references; 0 carry qualifiers and 0 use preferred rank. The first chronological checks are 1994, 2017 and 2018.
A concise life account rarely captures disputed attribution, private networks or the changing language used to describe a career. The source lead contains qualifying language; that uncertainty should survive quotation, summary and reuse. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.
