Mounam Pesiyadhe
2002 Indian film

Mounam Pesiyadhe is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film, written and directed by Ameer in his directorial debut. It stars Suriya in the lead role along with newcomers Nandha, Trisha, Neha Pendse and choreographer-turned-actor Anju Mahendran in supporting roles, while Laila appears in a cameo role. It also marks the first film for Trisha as a lead actress after playing a cameo role in Jodi (1999). The major part of the film is shot in Pondicherry. The film was released on 13 December 2002 and became a commercial hit. It was remade in Telugu as Aadanthe Ado Type (2003) and later dubbed in the same language as Kanchu in 2013.

Why this record matters
A short description can identify a subject without explaining its stakes. For “Mounam Pesiyadhe”, the useful work is to connect “2002 Indian film” to the records capable of establishing context and consequence.
Attribution, date and provenance are strongest when supported by the original work, a catalogue record and documented transmission. The source revision retrieved here is dated Sep 25, 2026. The first chronological checks are 2002, 1999, 2003 and 2013.
Rights, attribution and provenance may remain disputed even when a general reference summary presents a stable account. The lead is largely declarative, so disagreement and counter-evidence require a deliberate search beyond the opening account. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.
