The flowers are borne singly or in groups of up to four, usually in leaf axils and are about 7 mm (0.28 in) in diameter on a pedicel 5 mm (0.20 in) or more long. The floral cup is usually densely hairy, about 2 mm (0.079 in) long. The sepals are triangular, 1–1.5 mm (0.039–0.059 in) long and remain attached as the fruit develops. Flowering occurs from November to December and the fruit is a woody capsule 2–3.5 mm (0.079–0.138 in) in diameter on a pedicel 6–8 mm (0.24–0.31 in) long.

Why this record matters
The phrase “species of plant” supplies a clear boundary for inquiry. It also exposes the unanswered questions: who defined that boundary, when it became stable and which sources sit outside it.
Stable identifiers, scientific names and standards terminology offer the best bridge between this overview and specialist evidence. The source revision retrieved here is dated Dec 25, 2025. The linked authority identifier is Q15369488. None of the 0 selected statements returned an explicit reference.
A general summary may omit uncertainty, sample limits or methodological disagreement that is explicit in the technical record. The lead is largely declarative, so disagreement and counter-evidence require a deliberate search beyond the opening account. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.
