Karsunsky District
district in Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia
Karsunsky District (Russian: Карсу́нский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,768.6 square kilometers (682.9 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Karsun. Population: 25,170 (2010 Census); 29,319 (2002 census); 32,561 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Karsun accounts for 30.8% of the district's total population.
