Kalanchoe laetivirens
species of plant

Kalanchoe laetivirens is a species of Kalanchoe (section Bryophyllum). It was thought to be a hybrid between K. daigremontiana and K. laxiflora (syn. Bryophyllum crenatum), and therefore a group of invalid names for such a hybrid, including Kalanchoe crenodaigremontiana, Kalanchoe crenato-daigremontiana, Bryophyllum crenodaigremontianum and Bryophyllum crenato-daigremontianum, are just synonyms of K. laetivirens. However, their true hybrid is distinct from this species.
It is often misidentified as one of its putative parents, K. daigremontiana, which has bands or spots on the back of leaves, while the leaves of K. laetivirens are completely green, as indicated by its epithet laetivirens which means "lushly green".
“Kalanchoe laetivirens” enters the record as species of plant. Crown Archives preserves that source wording while asking what Kalanchoe, laetivirens and species can confirm, complicate or overturn.
Why this record matters
“Kalanchoe laetivirens” is worth following because a concise public description often conceals a longer documentary argument. Here, Kalanchoe, laetivirens and species provides the most credible route into that argument.
Datasets, specimens, observations and peer-reviewed methods provide the appropriate test for the technical claims summarized here. The source revision retrieved here is dated Sep 26, 2025. The linked authority identifier is Q1625573. None of the 0 selected statements returned an explicit reference.
A general summary may omit uncertainty, sample limits or methodological disagreement that is explicit in the technical record. The source lead contains qualifying language; that uncertainty should survive quotation, summary and reuse. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.
