Argentine footballer

Guillermo Balzi (born 23 July 2001) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for 2. Bundesliga club Holstein Kiel.
Career
Balzi was born in Los Surgentes in the province of Córdoba. A Newell's Old Boys youth product, he made his first-team debut in 2021. When he started in an Argentine Primera División match against San Lorenzo in March 2026, coach Mauricio Larriera's decision to include him was labelled a "surprise" by Argentine newspaper La Capital, with Balzi having previously made just two appearances in the Copa Argentina in that season. Balzi sustained a hip injury in the match, forcing his substitution by Brian Aguirre after 25 minutes.
Balzi spent two seasons on loan with Super League Greece club Levadiakos, scoring 9 goals and making 14 assists in 61 appearances. At the end of the loan, Levadiakos declined the option to sign Balzi permanently for a fee of €1.3 million for 70% of his economic rights. While Balzi's contract with Newell's Old Boys was valid until December 2027, he was not in coach Frank Kudelka's plans.

This brief starts where responsible research should: with the source description of “Guillermo Balzi” as argentine footballer. Everything that follows is an evidence route, not borrowed authority.
Why this record matters

Biographical claims are most persuasive when dates, appointments and relationships can be traced to records created close to the events described. The source revision retrieved here is dated Aug 23, 2026. The linked authority identifier is Q108287112. 1 of 1 selected statements include explicit references; 0 carry qualifiers and 0 use preferred rank. The first chronological checks are 2001, 2021, 2026 and 2027.
A concise life account rarely captures disputed attribution, private networks or the changing language used to describe a career. The lead is largely declarative, so disagreement and counter-evidence require a deliberate search beyond the opening account. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.
