Richard D. "Rick" Sanchez (voiced by Justin Roiland in season 1–6, Ian Cardoni in season 7–present), is a sociopathic, nihilistic, grouchy, immature, crude, rude, narcissistic, self-centered, alcoholic mad scientist who is the widowed father of Beth Smith and the maternal grandfather of Morty and Summer.
