Dättlikon is a municipality in the district of Winterthur in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland.
History
Dättlikon is first mentioned in 1241 as Tetelinkhoven.
Geography
Dättlikon has an area of 2.9 km2 (1.1 sq mi). Of this area, 43% is used for agricultural purposes, while 45.7% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 9.6% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (1.7%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains). In 1996 housing and buildings made up 5.6% of the total area, while transportation infrastructure made up the rest (3.8%). Of the total unproductive area, water (streams and lakes) made up 1% of the area. As of 2007 9.6% of the total municipal area was undergoing some type of construction.
The municipality is located on the southern terrace of Irchel evelvation, in the lower Töss Valley. It consists of the village of Dättlikon and the settlement Blumetshalden an der Töss.
