Cuatro Grados Norte
Open-knowledge reference entry

Cuatro Grados Norte, four degrees north, is a cultural district located in zone 4 in Guatemala City. It was a project of the municipality set in motion thanks to the involvement of Fundación Crecer Guatemala. A diverse group of Guatemalans saw Zone 4 turn into a dangerous neighborhood and decided to convert this area into an attractive pedestrian area in 2002. Additionally, many green areas were created. Today, the district also features bars, restaurants, shopping and cultural activities and has become one of the city's trendy and open minded areas, competing with Zona Viva in zone 10.[1].
“Cuatro Grados Norte” enters the record as open-knowledge reference entry. Crown Archives preserves that source wording while asking what Cuatro, Grados and Norte can confirm, complicate or overturn.
Why this record matters
“Cuatro Grados Norte” is worth following because a concise public description often conceals a longer documentary argument. Here, Cuatro, Grados and Norte provides the most credible route into that argument.
Vocabulary and entity names are the principal evidence signals here, because they determine the precision of every later search. The source revision retrieved here is dated Apr 22, 2025. The linked authority identifier is Q5191879. None of the 0 selected statements returned an explicit reference. The first chronological checks are 2002.
The absence of detail may reflect summary conventions rather than a lack of surviving documentation. The lead is largely declarative, so disagreement and counter-evidence require a deliberate search beyond the opening account. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.
