Bugulma Airport (Tatar: Бөгелмә Аэропорты; Russian: Аэропорт Бугульма) (IATA: UUA, ICAO: UWKB) is an airport in Tatarstan, Russia located 12 km north of Bugulma. It is a small airport with several hangars, servicing small prop transports. The 2000 m runway was constructed in 2000–2001. Foreign pilots need permission and a Russian Navigator, since Bugulma is a Russian language only airport.

Ak Bars Aero had its head office on the airport property.

Editorial analysis

Why this record matters

The subject matters to the places & architecture register because the source frames it as airport in Russia. Its deeper value depends on whether names, dates, institutions and citations support that framing.

Evidence profile

Maps, plans, fabric surveys and administrative records can establish how the site’s name, extent and function changed over time. The source revision retrieved here is dated Jul 7, 2026. The linked authority identifier is Q2459307. Authority coordinates are 54.640, 52.802. 2 of 2 selected statements include explicit references; 0 carry qualifiers and 0 use preferred rank. The first chronological checks are 2000 and 2001.

Critical limits

Architectural summaries often privilege surviving fabric and can understate demolished phases, contested use or displaced communities. The lead is largely declarative, so disagreement and counter-evidence require a deliberate search beyond the opening account. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.

How to read it

Treat names, boundaries and functions as historically changeable. Maps, plans, inventories and administrative records can clarify what the place meant at different dates.
