Amarendra Baahubali
Fictional biography
Amarendra Baahubali, Maharaja "Vikramdeva" Mahadeva and Akhila's son, was born in Mahishmati (Telugu) / Magizhmathi (Tamil). His mother (then Queen Dowager) died while giving birth to him. He was named "Baahubali" by his aunt, Rajamatha Sivagami, who later became his foster mother. She recognized his leadership qualities and announced him as the next king after he succeeded in a contest to defend the empire from the Kalakeya invasion. Though Bhallaladeva killed the Kalakeya king Inkoshi, Baahubali was announced as the next king as he showed more honor in the battle. He is envied by Bhallaladeva who manipulates Sivagami and issues an order to Kattappa to execute Baahubali for treason. He is loyal and bound by his promise even at the cost of his throne. He is the father of Mahendra Baahubali alias Sivudu.
“List of Baahubali characters” enters the record as wikimedia list article. Crown Archives preserves that source wording while asking what List, Baahubali and characters can confirm, complicate or overturn.
Why this record matters
“List of Baahubali characters” is worth following because a concise public description often conceals a longer documentary argument. Here, List, Baahubali and characters provides the most credible route into that argument.
Named sources, stable identifiers and responsible institutions provide the strongest route from overview to verifiable evidence. The source revision retrieved here is dated Aug 19, 2026. The linked authority identifier is Q29915750. None of the 0 selected statements returned an explicit reference. The first chronological checks are 2015, 2017, 2024 and 2020.
The absence of detail may reflect summary conventions rather than a lack of surviving documentation. The lead is largely declarative, so disagreement and counter-evidence require a deliberate search beyond the opening account. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.
