Source-derived summary

Ba Đồn is a ward (phường) in Quảng Trị Province, Vietnam. It is one of the 78 new wards, communes and special zones of the province following the reorganization in 2025.

On June 16, 2025, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued Resolution No. 1680/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Quảng Trị province in 2025. Accordingly, the entire natural area and population of Quảng Phong Ward, Quảng Long Ward, Ba Đồn Ward, and Quảng Hải Commune were merged to form a new ward named Ba Đồn Ward.

Editorial summary

The public source identifies “Ba Đồn” as ward of Quảng Trị. This brief keeps that definition visible, then builds a research path around Ward and Quảng.

Editorial reviewA practical starting point whose main value is the path it opens into stronger specialist and primary sources. The current lead gives the account dated anchors—2025, 1680—that can be checked directly. The selected authority fields contribute no independent date. Its value is orientation rather than verdict, with Ward and Quảng providing the first useful test.
Editorial analysis

Why this record matters

A short description can identify a subject without explaining its stakes. For “Ba Đồn”, the useful work is to connect “ward of Quảng Trị” to the records capable of establishing context and consequence.

Evidence profile

The citation trail is more important than the brevity of the summary: it shows where individual claims can be examined in context. The source revision retrieved here is dated Sep 16, 2026. The linked authority identifier is Q137269081. Authority coordinates are 17.800, 105.967. 2 of 2 selected statements include explicit references; 0 carry qualifiers and 0 use preferred rank. The first chronological checks are 2025 and 1680.

Critical limits

A concise general-reference account can conceal disagreements about scope, terminology or the weight assigned to individual sources. The lead is largely declarative, so disagreement and counter-evidence require a deliberate search beyond the opening account. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.

How to read it
