Source-derived summary

At the End of the Day is the fifth studio album from heavy metal band, Galactic Cowboys. Multiple reviewers found that the album contained subtle references to Christianity, but provided plenty of subtext to interpret meanings with.

Notes

The album contains the band's Machine Fish Suite, a series of songs woven together, telling the story of the band up to that point (tracks 4–10 inclusive).

Drummer Alan Doss does lead vocals on the song "Through".

The Japanese version of this album contained the song, "The Things They Couldn't Say", which was recorded in 1994, with lead vocals by then guitarist Dane Sonnier.

Editorial summary

Begin with the source’s own compact description: “At the End of the Day (Galactic Cowboys album)” is album by Galactic Cowboys. The dossier treats that line as a proposition to test through Galactic, Cowboys and album, not as a finished interpretation.

Editorial reviewBest approached as a cultural-object dossier: authorship and date matter, but circulation and reception often explain the wider significance. The current lead gives the account dated anchors—1994—that can be checked directly. The selected authority fields contribute no independent date. For this dossier, Galactic, Cowboys and album is the immediate research focus.
Editorial analysis

Why this record matters

The phrase “album by Galactic Cowboys” supplies a clear boundary for inquiry. It also exposes the unanswered questions: who defined that boundary, when it became stable and which sources sit outside it.

Evidence profile

Reception evidence should be dated and situated: later canonical status may differ sharply from the work’s initial circulation. The source revision retrieved here is dated Dec 17, 2025. The linked authority identifier is Q4812509. The first chronological checks are 1994.

Critical limits

Titles can refer to several editions, objects or performances, making precise identification essential before interpretation. The lead is largely declarative, so disagreement and counter-evidence require a deliberate search beyond the opening account. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.

How to read it

Separate the work, its editions or performances, and its later reception. Catalogue records, publication histories and object files often preserve different parts of that story.
