Source-derived summary

Aromashevsky District (Russian: Арома́шевский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twenty-two in Tyumen Oblast, Russia. As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Aromashevsky Municipal District. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,900 square kilometers (1,500 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Aromashevo. Population: 12,202 (2010 Census); 14,175 (2002 census); 16,960 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Aromashevo accounts for 44.0% of the district's total population.

Geography

Aromashevsky District is located in the southeast of Tyumen Oblast, on very slightly hilly forest-steppe of the West Siberian Plain. The area is one of extensive wetlands - ponds, lakes, and marshes - due to the lack of water run-off from the flat terrain. 59% of the district is covered by forest, and there are a number of peat deposits and two licensed oil-and-gas tracts.

Editorial analysis

Why this record matters

The subject matters to the general reference register because the source frames it as human settlement in Russia. Its deeper value depends on whether names, dates, institutions and citations support that framing.

Evidence profile

The citation trail is more important than the brevity of the summary: it shows where individual claims can be examined in context. The source revision retrieved here is dated Sep 9, 2026. The linked authority identifier is Q1753800. Authority coordinates are 56.859, 68.654. 2 of 3 selected statements include explicit references; 1 carry qualifiers and 0 use preferred rank. The first chronological checks are 2010, 2002 and 1989.

Critical limits

A concise general-reference account can conceal disagreements about scope, terminology or the weight assigned to individual sources. The lead is largely declarative, so disagreement and counter-evidence require a deliberate search beyond the opening account. Authority statements aid reconciliation but still require their own references, qualifiers and ranks to be checked.
